Happy New Year!
I’m sure all my beautiful imaginary friends out there have noticed my absence these past few weeks, but I assure you I have a VERY good excuse; I’ve been lazy.
Actually, I’ve been busy which leads to me being tired on my down days. I started a new job back in June of 2020, working 6 days a week, anywhere from 6 to 14 hours a day (averages about 10 hours). When I get home, I have family time, then go to bed early to ensure I’m rested in the morning. This hasn’t left me a great deal of time to write, or draw, or be creative.
Also, I think I just haven’t much been in the mood for it. I think about doing it, but then I just waste time flipping through Youtube and playing games. But… that was sssoooooo 2020. It’s 2021 now and we all know what that means!
I'M GOING TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY!!!
FOR A LITTLE WHILE
THEN JUST KINDA GO BACK TO THE WAY I'VE ALWAYS DONE THINGS
This year I decided not to do resolutions. I never saw the point of them. The New Year is just an arbitrary point in time where everyone decides they’re going to change and make their lives different. I was always curious as to WHY now? Why not do that… like, In July? Or, when you have the thoughts about what you’re going to change in your life? What’s so special about January First? Make Birthday resolutions instead.
So, anyway, here are my New Years Resolutions that I said I wasn’t going to do:
1) Read more. I’ve resolved to read 25 books this year. This being the 16th and I being on my 6th book so far, I feel this goal is very obtainable.
2) Write more. Pfft. I make this resolution every year. It’s like the “lose weight” of writers, am I right? Ha Ha Ha!
3) Lose weight.
I added the third one for comedic value.
