Update: Week 5
January 29 to February 4
I finished books 1 and 2 of the Stonehaven League and am currently a quarter of the way through book 3. I took a break from books yesterday to listen to music instead, and was disappointed as once again I switched to the radio in the middle of a Harry Styles song. This is only an issue because it has happened literally every single time I have turned on my radio in the last 2 years. For the record, I don’t turn on my radio too often, I’m usually neck deep into an audiobook.
Stonehaven book 2 continued shortly after the conclusion of book 1, and really ramped up the threat level… with DEMONS! There is the continuing issue of the Penelope A.I. doing naughty things, and Devon finds some friends. Pretty good summary, I feel.
So far in book 3, a Baby Dwarf cast Adoration (it was super effective), and Devon and friends play with some orcs. The story is ramping up to make Devon even more of an in-game hero, but I needed a short break from stories so didn’t get any further. I’ll pick it up again tomorrow.
I am writing again!
I think I’ve said this every week since the new year began, but I lied. This time, I’m telling the truth… and you can trust me? I guess?
I’ve written a few paragraphs of NEW content, set in the campaign world of my own creation; Lochinvar. It will go more in depth on the characters, lore, and happenings of the Kingdom of Lochinvar.
Also; I’m toying with the concept of 2nd person narratives. All the best crap I write is when I toy around with new ideas and concepts I’ve never tried before, so with any luck I’ll have some success here as well.
I can’t figure out how to remove the featured image when opening individual posts. This is inconvenient for when I post comics, because I post a preview of it in the featured image, then when you open the post it displays the featured image full size above the individual panels posted below it.
I tried a plugin aptly named “Hide Featured Images” but it seems to have no effect. I also can’t find any option in the theme’s customizer to fix it either.
Speaking of the theme; I changed it. I’ve been using the same theme for a few years and I finally decided to look around for something new. I like this one so far, but it has a menu issue when I click over to Stories; the submenus are disconnected from the main menu so when I try to select an item, the menu disappears.
I’ll figure it out… or, switch to another theme.
