Neato mosquito!

This totally awesome Snail Girl went and nominated me for a ‘Real Neat Blog’ award. I don’t know what this is, but it sounds real neat!
First, I would like to thank the academy for my nomination… And my fans: I wouldn’t be here without you guys! My momma, my siblings – thank you all for staying out of my way. For my beloved Red, thank you for your support, and keeping it real; I love you.
Hehe… so, anyway; my understanding is that I am to answer some questions, nominate some people, then ask some questions? Well, here goes!
1: Do you have any pets now? If so, what kind of animals are they/what are their names?

I have 2 cats and 1 dog right now. I have Origin and Dean Wincatser (cats) and Tofu (American Eskimo/Corgi mix). I’ve so had about 30(ish) cats over the last few years because I have a tendency to rescue and rehome kitties. They all had fun names, Like Aang, Saka, Zuko, Atreyu, Falcor, and so forth. There was a Sam Wincatster but we re-homed him.

2. What is your favorite flavor of cake?

My favorite cake is… uh… cake… ???
Ok, I can’t just say cake in general, so I guess I have to choose just one?
HOW?! This is an evil question! It’s tearing me up inside!!!
I mean, I geuss chocolate cake is pretty bomb… can I say cheese? My favorite flavore of cake is cheese…. Cheesecake…

3. What things do you want to advance in your writing?

There is a lot that I would like to be able to advance. First thing taht comes to mind is Emotion; I’ve never writtena  lot of emotion into my stories or characters. I have troubles with emotions and so I haven’t tried writing much. I mean, I’ve written some here and there but I’ve never shared them.
I would laos like to actualyl finish something I’ve written. I’ve “finished” a few things but people ask me to write mroe of it so it just gets dragged on into longer things that I don’t know how to finish because I never intended tot ake it that far… or, because I don’t like the way it ends and I don’t want to reach it.

4. What parts of your writing do you think are really good? (this is a tough one).

I like the words. I feel the words are good? I’m honestly not sure… I’ve been told I can get people to read about things they don’t care about. My professors always told me they enjoyed reading my essays because I didn’t write like I was writing an essay; I added jokes, sarcasm, and humor and managed to convey that they were jokes, sarcasm, and humor, so they found the content easier to digest.
Red has told me that my stories about zombies are the first zombies stories they’ve ever liked and they can’t explain why (I think it’s because we’re married, they insist it isn’t).

5. Is there a really moving piece of writing that you have read? If so, what is it? Provide a link to it if you can.

I got very angry reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett because… well, spoilers. There’s a scene in there that upset me. There were a few scenes in Magic’s Price by Mercedes Lackey that got me also. I won’t give details becase, as I said, spoilers.

6. Tell what you hope people think about you.

I kind of hope that people think I’m a super cool, laid back nerd with a kind heart and a desire to help people and the world. I would also hope that people think I’m an exceptional writer?

Alright, so this is the part where I nominate others… I don’t know a lot of people with blogs, but I do have a few mutual followers so I guess I’ll tag them.
Raynotbradbury
Em
The Britchy One
Naming my Voice
Is that enough?? That should be enough.

THE QUESTIONING!!

  1. What motivates you to write? (Or create your art, or blog)
  2. What are you most passionate about?
  3. What is your dream occupation? Why?
  4. Which of your creations are you most proud of? Why?
  5. What’s your favorite color?

    1. No matter how many times I hear that, I never believe it. But thank you! It does mean a lot 😀
I would have tagged/nominated you so you could get my questions in return, but it felt redundant and like the beginning of an endless cycle XD
I like reading your snail stories too. They’re fun and adventurous.

      1. Believe it! Seriously, your writing is really good.
Yeah, it’s kinda endless. I mean, that was the third award thingie that I have gotten.
Thanks! I’m glad you like them. You read Dragon Cave, correct?

        1. I started reading it, but became too wrapped up in my own writing to continue it. I don’t have a lot of time to read these days, between writing, work, babysitting, and my second job.
I WILL get to it though.

          1. I know what you mean. Once, I wrote so much at one time that I couldn’t write anything for two weeks! In my journal I wrote like one really bad sentence and that’s it! ?

  1. I know what you mean. I sometimes write so much that I can’t read anything else. This one time, I wrote so much at one time that I started to hate writing and had to take a break for a week or two. ?

    1. Hah! It happens. I used to game a lot to the point where I would burn myself out on a game and have to stop playing for a month XD
I haven’t burnt myself out on writing yet. I do have moments where the inspiration isn’t there, but I’m trying to work through it instead of giving up now.
